Dr. Edith Treviño, also known as “Dr. ET,” is a dynamic presenter, self-taught edtech, storyteller, author and advocate of language and students. She is a passionate educator who lives and teaches in La Frontera in Round Rock, TX. Dr. ET holds a Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Bilingual Studies. She is co-author to “The Death of My Mexican Name,” and her research is focused on teacher perceptions of Mexican immigrant students’ lived experiences. Her passion and research are grounded on border-life of La Frontera with its inherent displacement and cultural and historical trauma – and how those lived experiences intertwine and impact education.
