FUSE -- First a Dream: Find Your Future at College Night
Virtual Event
High school is a crucial time for students to grow intellectually and personally, and to prepare for college and career. Parental presence in a child’s educational journey is vital to the student’s commitment to academic achievement and lifelong success. This presentation will focus on helping families navigate the numerous steps involved in career and college planning and provide information on paying for college. Participants will learn strategies to support students’ academic transitions and progression to higher education.
Join us when we welcome a panel of stimulating educational leaders to inspire and empower all students to thrive as they work toward their future goals. Panelists include Timothy Fields, senior associate dean in undergraduate admission at Emory University and author of “The Black Family’s Guide to College Admissions,” Susanna Melón, Glenbard District 87 assistant director for student services, English learners and equity and representatives from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission.
