Perfect parenting is a myth, and striving for it can be detrimental to both parents and children. Bhimani will join GPS to help caregivers focus on what works to build a strong, supportive relationship with teens. She will share skills for open communication, active listening, flexibility, and establishing expectations. Participants will also learn about the importance of empathy, role modeling, and self-care. Join us and learn strategies that emphasize understanding and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow alongside your children.
Bhimani is a psychiatric pediatric nurse at Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital and speaks locally on mental health for children of color.
