The effects of cyberbullying and social media use on tweens and teens are a real concern. Hinduja will share evolving best practices to curb technology misuse. He will provide information about how young people use the internet and their devices and will examine cyberbullying, sexting and unwise social media use. Attendees will learn how to promote safe, responsible online activity, as well as the best ways to respond to technology abuse. Hinduja will also provide research-based parenting methods designed to promote ethical choices in cyberspace and in real life.

Hinduja is internationally recognized for his groundbreaking work on cyberbullying. He is a professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Florida Atlantic University. Hinduja is also co-director of the Cyberbullying Research Center and a faculty associate at Harvard University.
